Indication for intervertebral surgery

When the conservative method does not help

The minimally invasive TESSYS® method is suitable for almost every intervertebral surgery when conservative methods of treatment fail to bring the desired success or if surrounded nerves are already affected and the pain has become unbearable or crippling. Also, Cauda-Equina-Syndrome is an indication.

Every intervertebral surgery – including the TESSYS® surgery – requires a prior detailed talk with the patient and a clarification by means of imaging procedures  like MRT, CT and Radiography. A discography offers final confirmation of the definite position of the hernia, and is conducted during the surgery using a spinal needle from the TESSYS® Disposable Access Kit.
