In Brazil, joimax^® is partnering with the privately-owned CT Group, which offers more than 20 years experience in the medical technology market. CT Group delivers a unique strategy and approach in the Brazilian market, focusing on the spine segment. The group is composed of 5 affiliated companies that provide innovative and high standard medical devices and equipment throughout the country.

Currently, there are 50 potential providers in Brazil who have been trained on the joimax^® methods and will be able to start offering joimax^® endoscopic procedures this spring. In Japan, joimax^® is partnering with United Biomech Japan, Inc., who will oversee distribution of the complete joimax^® product line countrywide. The official market launch will take place at the 48^th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Spine Surgery and Related Research (JSSR), April 18 – 20, 2019 in Yokohama, Japan. The agreement coincides with the Japan-EU Free Trade Agreement (JEFTA) which came into effect February 1, 2019.

Irvine, CA – November 5, 2018 – joimax^®, the Germany-based market leader of technologies and training methods for full-endoscopic minimally-invasive spinal surgery, announces the move of its US headquarters to a new 26,000-square-foot facility in Irvine, California, beginning November 5, 2018.
“With the move to the new building, the steadily growing need for endoscopic procedures among patients and physician communities can now be efficiently met,” states Wolfgang Ries, Founder and CEO of the joimax^® Group. “Growth requires space — the continued demand in the US market creates a major opportunity which joimax^® Inc. is addressing with the expansion of its US organization.”

The new office is located at 140 Technology Drive, Suite 150 in the city of Irvine and includes a brand new training and education center. The center offers a demonstration and wet lab training room displaying all joimax^® systems and products, as well as a big audience room for didactics presentations. The first workshop will be held at the center on Nov 30^th – Dec 1st, 2018.

In addition, the new facility will handle all corporate and business functions. Over the next year, joimax® Inc. will add more clinical support, marketing, and sales personnel in order to face the fast growing demand for endoscopic spine procedures.

Intracs^{® em} Electromagnetic Navigation System

Intracs^{® em} relies on electromagnetic tracking and is specifically designed for simple and safe access to any spinal target. For exceptional accuracy, the instruments are vector-guided directly at the tip; therefore, bending of needles or other pliant instruments will not affect the navigation’s precision. The new smart and user-friendly system can serve as a stand-alone device, or be completely integrated with the joimax^® Endoscopic Tower. It is the only system on the market which allows for simultaneous navigation of multiple instruments such as needles, guiding rods, reamers, and endoscopes; developed by joimax^®.

The full European product launch is scheduled for Q4 2018. The global launch, including the United States, will be rolled out in the beginning of 2019.

Karlsruhe, Germany – May 1^st 2018 – joimax^® again launches new product innovations at the upcoming American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) taking place in New Orleans from April 28 – May 2, and at the Global Spine Congress (GSC) in Singapore, starting May 2. The German based market leader of technologies and training methods for minimally invasive endoscopic spinal surgery expands its family of decompression systems with an additional milestone of its interlaminar endoscopic access systems named iLESSYS^® Pro for access and resection within the spinal canal. All endoscopic systems including the members of the so-called iLESSYS^® Family will be shown at AANS as well as at GSC, where joimax^® will host a full-day workshop with four stations on May 1 and with numerous lectures on endoscopic spine surgery held throughout the congress.

iLESSYS^® Pro was developed in collaboration with Christoph Hofstetter, MD, PhD Associate Professor at University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.  It combines the ability to efficiently remove and decompress degenerative spinal pathology from the iLESSYS^® Delta with the possibility to enter the spinal canal and treat intraspinal disc pathology which has been a hallmark of the iLESSYS^® system. Along with TESSYS^®, TESSYS^® XT and TESSYS^® Isee, now all lumbal and thoracic degenerative pathologies can effectively be treated with joimax^® techniques.

The Vitegra^® Docu and Command system opens a new era of documentation, control and hospital integration. The device comes with numerous flexible control options including a wireless tablet PC, live video streaming and a live voice commenting option, in-surgery image and video review function, voice control capabilities and easy data export solutions. The Vitegra^® offers with its command mode to control all other devices that are part of the joimax^® endoscopic tower. The German based market leader of technologies and training methods for endoscopic minimally invasive spinal surgery shows a jump of almost 80% vs. 2016 in the U.S. Consolidated sales show a growth of nearly 30%, which reflects its CAGR of 35% since 2008.

With the latest workshops in Krasnodar, RUS, Guadalajara, Mexico and at the Wooridul Hospital in Korea, the company strengthens its outstanding education program. During the workshops, surgeons are trained in endoscopic techniques and other minimally-invasive procedures. Since the start of the cooperation with the Korean Wooridul group, the world’s largest specialized MISS – Endoscopic Spine Hospital Network, in 2017, a series of four courses, provided at different levels, have now been performed.

At the upcoming congress of the German Spine Society (DWG), taking place Nov 30 – Dec 02, 2017, in Stuttgart, Germany, joimax^® will introduce its newest camera system called Camsource^® LED combined with its latest Vitegra^® Docu and Command Visual Integration System offering the highest resolution imaging with CMOS sensor technology.
